Chapter 4. Generating Reports
JEvolve allows you to generate convenient reports and graphs detailing the changes across projects. The simplest reporting option is to generate in text format. Select Reports->Generate Report->Text Report. A text file is created and automatically opened in the editor. See figure.

A more convenient form to view the change details is the table format. If you select Reports->Generate Report->Atomic Report, a grid control will appear with the changes listed as in the following figure.

Alternatively, you could choose the HTML format. You will be prompted to specify the directory into which the various html files will be written. If Internet ExplorerTM is installed on your machine, JEvolve will automatically open a browser window and display the details. You could follow the highlighted links to see additional information.

Displaying Charts

To generate charts, select Report->Generate Charts. The following dialog pops up for you to select a chart.

After you select the chart and click Chart button, the chart will appear. You may close this dialog by clicking Close.

As an example of charts, here is the Atomic Changes chart.

The chart can be saved to a file or printed. The icons above the chart support a variety of editing operations on the graph.
